Currency in Shanidar

The silver penny, or dinar, is the basic coin within the Empire. It is minted 15 to the ounce and is often cut into halves or quarters to make change.

Copper pieces are often minted locally and are valued at ten to the dinar. As they are made in so many different places and given so many local names they are commonly called coppers.

Gold coins, called Groats or Grossi, are minted at 60 to the pound and are worth 10 dinar each.
